The last day for filing for the upcoming municipal election was Tuesday, Jan. 19, at 5 p.m. The election is Tuesday, April 5, for school boards, city offices, fire districts, ambulance districts, water districts and local and county issues.
Candidates for City of California Board of Aldermen are: Ward I-Joe Coffelt; Ward II-incumbent Bryan Lawson and challenger Rick Whitson; Ward III-incumbent Resa Dudley.
Three candidates will be on the ballot vying for the two positions up for election for the California School Board. They are incumbent Rhonda Meyer, incumbent Kyle Wirts and challenger Derek VanLoo.
