A large number of people visited the California JCMG Family Clinic at the open house held for Dr. Sara Bohn on March 2. In addition to enjoying cookies and punch, the patients and friends visited with Bohn and expressed their sadness at her departure, as well as wishing her well in her future endeavors.

Well known as the health care provider at the California clinic, Bohn is moving on to the next phase of her life and career after 23 years at the Moniteau County clinic.

She has been a major part of the health and welfare of the California community since 1993, but is leaving the clinical medical practice field to go into hospice and palliative care, which works to help people be comfortable by working with them on issues causing physical or emotional pain and suffering. This care works towards improvement of quality of life for those who are seriously ill and supports those people and their families during and after the treatment period.

Bohn's new medical endeavors will take her to a warmer climate, as she is moving to Florida.

Nurse practioners Sharlene Galbraith and Michelle Kelly are working with the staff - Linda Baer, LPN; Tina Kliethermes, LPN, and Lynn Nolasco, radiology technician - to continue providing excellent medical care for area patients.
