The Moniteau Democrat Club usually meets on the fourth Thursday of the month, which would be March 24. As this year that date falls on Maundy Thursday, the club will be changing its meeting date to March 31 at 6 p.m. at the Nic Nac Cafe in California.
The club will review the candidates who have filed for office in Moniteau County and the state of Missouri. Consideration of a Democrat Headquarters in the county will also be on the agenda.
Planning for Truman Day in May is underway. Last-minute planning for the Moniteau County Democrat Caucus on April 7 will be discussed.
The speaker for the evening will be a representative from the Jason Kander's campaign for U.S. Senate. Kander is opposing Republican Sen. Roy Blunt for the office.
