The American Red Cross is helping a family after an unusual incident caused damage to their home in the 200 block of East Madison St., California.
According to the California Police report, a trailer became detached from the towing vehicle, driven by Kenny Lehman, of California, and crossed the street and the front yard, striking the corner and porch of a two-story brick residence. The house sustained damage to
both the exterior and interior.
Red Cross volunteers are providing emergency assistance for essentials like food, clothing and shelter to Kari Stevens and family, which includes three adults and two children. Referrals have been made to other entities for assistance as needed. Volunteers will monitor the
family's recovery process.
