Quality Used Cars LLC, 1301 S. Oak St. in California, donated $600 worth of food - equivalent to 796 pounds - to the Cargill Food Pantry recently.
"I want to thank the community for helping us out," said Mark Ash, owner of Quality Used Cars LLC. "We try to do everything we can for the community. We're doing it just to help."
The food will be distributed to needy families in the area.
Mark Ash, and his wife, Debbie, both owners of the dealership, also gave matching donations of $20 for every $20 donated by the community.
And for everyone that donated money, the Ash's bought additional non-perishable food or canned goods with the proceeds, such as beans, soup, corn, and/or mac and cheese.
"We're going to try to do it again next year," Mark Ash said.
But anyone is welcome to make money donations through the business throughout the year.
"And I'll match it," Mark Ash said.
