Hundreds of Californians turned out to celebrate a Christmas tradition with their neighbors Saturday at Christmas California Style.

The day began with businesses hosting open houses and festive extras and ended with a parade and visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Moniteau County Courthouse.

The large Christmas tree on the courthouse lawn was lit and the California High School Sounds of Joy filled the courthouse halls with carols.

The winners of the "March of the Toys" parade entries were: first place, Faith Crossing Church; second place, Mount Moriah Church; and third place, Unique Creations.
