Nearly 450 fifth-grade students from 13 area schools were bused Friday to Jefferson City's Memorial Park, where they were treated to McDonald's food.

The Jefferson City Police Department and Host Lions Club hosted the annual Safety Patrol Picnic to thank the students for their hard work throughout the school year.
