For a special trip arranged for the California High School Choral Department, 16 adults accompanied 39 students to New York City for a musical experience.

The students performed in a concert at Carnegie Hall Sunday, May 1, but that was only a part of the experience.

While in New York City, the group went to the Broadway Show, "Aladdin," visited Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center, traveled to the Empire State Building, saw the 9/11 Memorial and Museum and stopped in at Grand Central Station. They also shopped in Times Square and Macy's and strolled through Central Park. Groups of students and chaperones went to the Today Show, attended to Mass in St. Patrick's Cathedral, and visited China Town and Little Italy.

"The concert experience was amazing for the students and the chaperones and overall the trip was a great success," said Vocal Music Director Michele Bilyeu. "The CHS Choral Department would like to extend a huge Thank You to this community for the continuous support of the Fine Arts Departments that allows students once in a lifetime opportunities like this."
