Phil Lewis, current president of the Moniteau County Democrat Club, was honored by being named Democrat of the Year. It came as a surprise.

Christiansen has made a career in medicine, dedicated to treatment and research of infectious diseases. He taught medicine at University of Missouri and worked at the Harry S Truman Memorial veterans Hospital.

Galloway was appointed State Auditor in 2015, prior to which she was Boone County Treasurer for four years.

A fundraising auction was conducted by Charlie Roll.

Lewis gave the welcome and introductions and recognition of guests at the meeting. Edwina Kay was present and the group sang "Happy Birthday" in honor of her birthday. Dinner music was presented by Connie Walker and her sister Linda Cable.
