The annual Home and Business Lighting/Decorating Contest will be judged the week of Dec. 5 through 9, between the hours of 5 and 10 p.m.
There are three categories which will be judged - Best Lighted/ Decorated Home in the California city limits - California businesses - and Best Lighted/Decorated Rural Home outside the California city limits.
Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places in the category of Best Lighted/Decorated Home in the California city limits. Those who notify the Chamber office at 573-796-3040 by noon on Friday, Dec. 2, will be judged. All other homes will be considered during a drive-by viewing.
California businesses will be also be judged on a drive-by viewing 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. between Dec. 5-9. All businesses will be considered. A traveling trophy is given to the winner.
A new category in the chamber judging event is Best Lighted/Decorated Rural Home, outside the California city limits. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places in this category. Remember, all entries must have a California address. In order to be judged, all entries MUST notify the Chamber office at 573-796-3040 by noon, Friday, Dec. 2. Rural homes will NOT be judged if they have not pre-entered the contest.
