The California CROP Walk for 2016 was Sunday, Oct. 9, beginning at 4 p.m. at Proctor Park.

The group of 35 walkers met at the Lions Club Shelter House at Proctor Park.

The event raises thousands of dollars each year. This year, $18,200.01 was raised.

The interfaith CROP Walks are part of Church World Service (CWS).

The events raise funds to assist local communities in several countries, helping them to have fresh water and provide animals, seeds and training
to help people provide for their families.

The funds raised are utilized by Church World Service/CROP.
