An Eldon woman remained in critical condition Thursday at University Hospital in Columbia, a day after she was hurt in a one-car accident in Miller County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Celestel D. Dake, 34, of Eldon, was eastbound on U.S. 54 when her 2003 Honda hydroplaned and began spinning, eventually going into the median.
The car hit several trees, then overturned into a creek, landing on the driver's side.
The accident happened at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday, about a half-mile west of Frank Road, west of Etterville.
Dake was treated at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City before being transferred to the Columbia hospital.
