Jamestown PTO is busy organizing the Fall Festival, which is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Oct. 7 at the school. The PTO is looking forward to having Gerry Tritz's Magic Show back again this year. Games and activities include pumpkin decorating, cotton candy, balloon darts, ring toss, and the famous lollipop tree.
There will also be an auction/raffle the night of the Festival. Many local businesses have made donations. The next meeting will be Oct. 4, when plans and preparations will be finalized. Anyone who wants to help with the Fall Festival can contact Courtney Nokes at 573-690-4456.
Electronic Recycling is an ongoing PTO project. Anything that plugs into a wall or runs on batteries is accepted. A collection trailer will be at the Fall Festival; otherwise, contact Michael Lawson at 573-298-2407 if you have an item for recycling. All PTO recycling profits for this school year will go toward a new water fountain in the school lobby.
Future PTO meetings are scheduled at 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria on Oct. 4, Nov. 1 and Dec. 6.
