Fundraiser to be held for Angela Holsman

A fundraiser is planned for the benefit of Angela (Miller) Holsman Sept. 10.

The event is to support Holsman in her recovery from the results of a vehicle collision. The fundraising event, hosted by her co-workers at the post office, will be held at Centennial Hall at the Moniteau County Fairgrounds.

There will be a dinner, a drawing for a few items and a silent auction. The event will help meet the expenses, which have occurred and will continue with this life-changing event.

Holsman was injured in a head-on collision, which occurred when she was on her way to work July 3. She was transported by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia. Injuries included a broken left leg, a a broken right heel and ankle, broken pelvis and hip, and a lot of cuts and gashes.

According to Holsman, she is expected to make a full recovery, although it is estimated to take from six months to a year.

She also seems in very good spirits about everything. She said her husband, neighbors and mother are all making sure the household is continuing on and prepared as school is about to start.

Anyone who would like to help may contact Deanna Perez at 573-301-8226 or Tabetha James at 573-353-1684.
