The Heart of Missouri Chorus of the Sweet Adelines, performed at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore in Columbia on Dec. 7, for one of its many Christmas season performances.

Several of the members reside in Moniteau County, including Director Twilla Duvall and former director Marj Friedmeyer.

On Dec. 9, the group participated in "Kickin' It Back for Christmas," a concert production at the historic Missouri Theatre in Columbia. The other performers were the barbershop chorus "Boonslick Chordbusters," the quartet "Sisters of Sass," the quartet "The Boone County Hams," and the Columbia Public Schools Fifth Grade Honor Choir.

The songs, and the dress, of most of the groups were reminiscent of the 1950s and 1960s.

The group participated in "Downtown Living Windows" in Jefferson City, and will perform in several more locations in the coming weeks.
