House search leads to arrest of five people

A search for a wanted fugitive at a house in California resulted in the arrest of five people.

According to a Moniteau County Sheriffs report, deputies went to a house on Versailles Avenue to locate fugitive Caleb T. Sewell, Tipton, who was wanted on a federal drug charge, which resulted from a previous case.

After obtaining consent to search for the fugitive, deputies located Sewell hiding in the basement of the residence, along with several other people. While conducting the search, deputies observed drug paraphernalia in the residence. Obtaining another consent, this one to search for the drugs, deputies found methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and items used to package and distribute drugs.

A total of five people were arrested and transported to the Moniteau County Jail. They are:

Caleb T. Sewell, 26, Tipton, federal drug charges, held and transferred to U.S. Marshals;

Emily J. Wyrick, 22, Tipton, possession of a controlled substance (meth), bond set at $25,000;

Alex Z. Gilbert, 21, Smithton, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (meth), bond was set at $50,000, currently on parole;

Adam E. Clancy, 23, California, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, bond set at $15,000; and

Nathan Lubbert, California, arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, bond set at $500.
