The Corticelli Baptist Church is presenting a different "drive-thru" event this year.
For 2017, it is a drive through Christmas drama "Cradle to the Cross," on two nights only - Wednesday and Friday (Dec. 20 and 22) from 6-8 p.m.
According to the Rev. Rick Seaton, pastor of the congregation, there is no fee and donations are not accepted for this event.
"This is a gift to the community and an honor to the Lord," Seaton said.
It is a live, drive-through drama with six settings, plus a choir. It is "From a Holy Night to a Glorious Morning" featuring "snapshots" of the events beginning with the Nativity and culminating with the Resurrection.
Corticelli Baptist is a rural congregation. The church with a Sunday school attendance, which averages about 90, has more than 100 volunteers working on the drive-through Christmas season drama.
The church is active in the mission field. It has sent mission teams many places and has built churches in Argentina.
