Change of venue granted for murder case against Buxton

A Change of Venue has been ruled in the case of Christopher C. Buxton, 30, Jamestown.

The case of Buxton for a Class A felony charge of murder in the second degree, was ordered transferred to Laclede County on July 14, by Judge Kenneth Hayden. No trial date has been set.

Buxton was charged Aug. 3, 2016, after he was arrested, following the death of his son, on July 30, of that year.

According to the affidavit filed as he was charged, the defendant is alleged to have caused the death of the child on or about July 28, in an incident of child abuse.
