Two in custody after Moniteau County traffic stop

Deputies stopped a vehicle in California on May 14 for a license plate violation, according to a press release from Moniteau County Sheriff Tony Wheatley.

Upon contact with the occupants, deputies "believed they detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle." K-9 Mizzou was called to the scene for further investigation and "alerted on the vehicle."

A search of the vehicle located marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A small child was also in the vehicle.

Taken into custody were Bryson A. Gillpatreick, 25, and Jackson M. Davis, 27, both of Tipton, on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
