Special 911 meeting set to discuss interim director

The regular monthly meeting of the Moniteau County 911 Emergency Dispatch Board was held Nov. 13.

Near the end of the meeting, a closed session was called. After returning to open session, it was announced that the board had taken two actions. First, Milisa Hagemeyer was given the position of terminal agency coordinator (TAC) officer effective Nov. 1. The TAC acts as a liaison officer between emergency dispatch and the Missouri highway patrol. Second, a Special Closed Board Meeting was set for 10 a.m. Nov. 18 to review and approve an interim director contract.

During the regular part of the meeting, Mid-Mo Ambulance Director Lee Kempf addressed the board regarding medical dispatching and Moniteau County Sheriff Tony Wheatley addressed the board regarding law dispatching. All advisement was heard and noted by the board.

Kurt Bleich reported that a "law repeater radio" had stopped working. It temporarily has been replaced. Bleich also reported that the tower work will be conducted the week after Thanksgiving. He also will be installing the 911 truck radio soon.

The proposed 2018 budget was reviewed and discussed by the board. Approval of the budget is set for the December meeting.

Acting Interim Director Corey Sullivan reported to the board that installation of the truck bed cover, back rack and light by Bonecutter Body Shop is complete. He said he has contacted Watson Dispatch, in regard to the replacement of a faulty work station heater.

The board approved meat and cheese trays to be purchased and served to the employees, who will be working during Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Also approved is for holiday appreciation packages to be purchased for each employee in the amount of $50.

In other business:

The treasurer's report was approved as submitted. Sales tax was received in the amount of $47,595.39. As of Oct. 31, the MMDA account balance was $719,322.44 and the CD's balance was $235,308.99.

Bills of $6,874.25 were approved for payment. Payroll for Oct. 19 totaled $9,687.59 and payroll for Nov. 2 totaled $19,829.58. Overall payroll taxes totaled $11,368.64. The board noted that the payroll increase was due to severance paid to the previous director.

The treasurer's report indicated sales tax received was $47,595.39. MMDA account balance effective Oct. 31 was $719,322.44. The CD's balance, as of Sept. 30, was $235,308.99.

The next regular monthly meeting will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 11.
