Lake Ozark woman charged with forgery

A Lake Ozark woman has been charged with forging prescriptions at Capital Region Medical Center and a Walgreens pharmacy in Jefferson City.

Kellie Quilllen, 32, is charged with forgery, stealing and fraudulently obtaining a controlled substance. As of Wednesday afternoon, she was being held on a $25,000 cash-only bond.

A Missouri Highway Patrol probable cause statement shows a family member of Quillen's contacted a trooper April 1 saying Quillen had gone to Capital Region and Walgreens and they believed she had obtained prescription drugs using a fake identity, similar to how she had previously when she was arrested for forgery and fraud-related charges.

Investigators went to Walgreens and found no prescription had been filled for Quillen, but they had filled a Hydrocodine prescription for a Kelly King written by Capital Region.

Capital Region medical clerks confirmed a Kelly King had gone to the emergency room. Hospital video showed Quillen driving into the parking lot, walking into the emergency room and going to the desk, and giving information indicating she was Kelly King. She was treated by medical staff and received a prescription.

Quillen provided no payment for hospital services, forged the name of Kelly King on discharge documents, and the address she provided was not valid. Medical records showed no Kelly King in existence.
