Jefferson City woman sentenced in DWI offenses

A Jefferson City woman has pleaded guilty to numerous charges in connection with being pulled over twice in less than a month for driving drunk with children in her vehicle last year.

Stephanie Keilholz, 29, was charged with two counts of DWI, one count of driving in an imprudent manner, one count of failing to register a motor vehicle and six counts of endangering the welfare of a child. All the counts were misdemeanors.

Cole County Judge Dan Green ordered Keilholz to serve two years of unsupervised probation. She also must complete an alternative court program.

The first incident occurred in May 2017 in the 700 block of Eastland Drive, where she was found to be drunk with three children, all under age 10, inside the vehicle.

The second incident occurred in June 2017 in the 2000 block of West Main Street, where Keilholz struck a parked vehicle. Again, she was found to be drunk after a Breathalyzer test, and she had three children under age 10 in the vehicle.

Court records show Keilholz was convicted of DWI and leaving the scene of an accident in Callaway County in September 2016.
