Moniteau County Treasurer Sarah B. Jones is seeking another term and will appear on the Republican ballot in the Aug. 7 primary.
How long have you been a Moniteau County resident? I was raised in Moniteau County and have lived here most of my life.
Work? I am currently the Moniteau County Treasurer, finishing my second term. I also work, as needed, at the Windmill Ridge Funeral Home.
Family: I have three children - Kayla (Brian) Skelly, Fenton; Aaron Jones, Phoenix, Arizona; and Ethan (Brittany) Jones, Columbia. I also have one grandchild; I wear the title of "MeMa" very proudly.
In what ways are you involved in the community? Community involvement always has been important to me. I am currently an active member of the California Lions Club and the Moniteau County Republican Club. I also serve on the Moniteau County 911 Board and the Sappington Community Chapel Cemetery Board.

What is your political background? My political background has always been Republican.
Why are you seeking this seat and why now? I am seeking re-election as Moniteau County Treasurer, because I truly enjoy my job and am honored to serve my community.
What is the most important issue facing this office? There isn't any current issues in my office. I have received excellent reviews from past audits and will continue that level of integrity, as long as I am in office.
How would you improve Moniteau County, if re-elected? I will maintain staying current on legislation regarding county issues, striving for excellence and working closely with fellow office holders on a daily basis. Here at the Moniteau County Courthouse, we are a team and serve our county to the best of our ability.
