More than 400 Moniteau County children received school supplies and health screenings July 31 at the ninth annual Moniteau County Back to School Fair at California High School.
Leaders of the Moniteau County Alliance for Kids, which organizes the event, were pleased by the participation of all the informational booths and resources, too.
"We are very thankful for all the volunteers that helped with picking up school supplies, sorting and packing the bags, and volunteering at the event," Vice President Andrea Kincaid said. "We had numerous volunteers that helped with health screenings, registration, school supplies, children's snacks, and clean-up.
"It is truly a countywide effort to pull this event off!"
