California third grade presents 75 years of Disney

California R-I Elementary School third graders begin the “Celebrating 75 Years of Disney Magic” program Feb. 8, at the California High School with “Mickey Mouse Mash-Up” in memory of the Mickey Mouse Club.

The California R-I Elementary School third graders presented the program "Celebrating 75 Years of Disney Magic" Feb. 8 to an appreciative audience at the California High School. The musical selections from Disney film productions for three-fourths of a century were directed by Stacy Friedrich.

Beginning with "Mickey Mouse Mash-Up," a song reminiscent of the Mickey Mouse Club, the third graders went on to bring back memories of many of the favorite Disney films. There was "You Can Fly! You Can Fly! You Can Fly!" for Peter Pan, "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" for Mary Poppins, "The Bare Necessities" for Jungle Book, "Under the Sea" for Little Mermaid, "Beauty and the Beast" for the film of the same name, "In Summer" for Frozen and ending with "The Circle of Life" for The Lion King.

The third graders, in a variety of costumes and roles, were part of the following groups.

There were 42 speakers. They were, in order: Hailey Nolasco, Katherine Rohrbach, Kaliyah Ash, Jessie Ashley, Samuel DeCosta, Hunter Hall, Gabby Pace, Jalyn Coleman, Emily Burger, Ellie Bestgen, Marlee Russell, Zach Davenport, Chelsey Knipker, Arionna Kenrick, Lily Hogan, Maddilyn Walker, Sophia Allen, Makenna Sullivan, Ella Burger, Ashlee Vedenhoupt, Connor Nichols, Madison Fitzwater, Ciarra McDaniel-Simms, Emilia Thomas, Maddie Nokes, Piper Kirk, Rhilynn McArthur, Everley Scheidt, Abbigail Blanke, Addie Dicus, Caleb Howard, Kyle Schlup, Taylor Mosier, Rowdy Davis, Paige Kandlebinder, Sarah Inglish, Brysen Barlow, Breckin Traver, Kaitlyn Forbis, Adriana Miller, Logan Salazar and Noah Gross.

Soloists for "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" were Victor Salas, Ivee Cooper and Eli Porter. The speaker was Hadley Milligan. The speakers for "In Summer" were: Gideon Banderman, Connor Farmer and Allison Hackett. The Mickey Mouse Club Dancers were: Harley Barker, Luke Bolfing, Francisco Martinez, Natalie Mertens, Emma Farmer, Joanna Lemus, Lance Schmidt, Saylor Bax, Dylan Ferguson, Landon Hayes and Sabrina Moro-Donnell.

The "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" dancers were: Ashley Corona, Josie Manzanares, Brooklyn Figgins, Andrea Juarez, Marisol Perez Contreras, Evelyn Ponce, Alyssa Hartley, Callie Johnson, Lily Smith, Amie Toebben, Estella Lowell and Takayla Roark.

For "Under The Sea, the dancers were: Nina Laczko, Alex Magana-Hernandez, Inara Zarn, Dolton Blair, Ayden Stepp, Layla Branch, Drake Hutchings, Scarlett Skelton, Gaven Payne, Lakin Ringwald, Laryssa Stafford and Gideon Rex.

The dancers for "Beauty and the Beast" were: Halston Bax, Jaxon Scrivner, Evan Turner, Hudler Cain, Tanner Embry, Cadence Reed, Scarlet Hoellering, Nikaylee Hays, Jaylen Padilla and Peyton Keeran.

For the finale, the "Circle of Life" dancers were: Crystal Gonzalez, Gauge Harcsa, Alan Martinez Orozco, Grant Hagenhoff, MacKenzie Williamson, Talyn Balsley, Isabel Ceballos, Matthew Fitzwater, Matthew Newcomb, Coy Linhardt, Bobbyjoe Zurmiller, Alivia Jinson, Kaden Baker, Carter Bruns, Yurem Romo, and Miguel Magana Orozco.
