Area residents enjoy a ham and turkey meal, and support the California Nutrition Center at the fundraiser dinner on Sunday.

The California Nutrition Center's annual Ham and Turkey Dinner fundraiser was held Jan. 21, with at least 125 meals served.

Those who enjoyed the baked ham and turkey dinner, also enjoyed the dressing, potatoes and gravy, green beans, cole slaw, cranberry sauce, homemade bread, tea and coffee, plus a whole bunch of different desserts, including some which were sugar-free.

The annual dinner is a major fundraiser for the nutrition center, at 107 W. Versailles Ave. The center seeks to provide nutritious meals, at a reasonable cost, for older residents who continue to live independently. It was first held 15 years ago.

The ham and turkey served at the fundraiser is donated by local meat producing businesses, Burgers' Smokehouse and Cargill.
