Three people suspected of possessing illegal drugs were arrested during separate incidents investigated recently by the Moniteau County Sheriff's Office.

Two people were taken into custody June 28 after deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at a McGirk residence, according to Sheriff Tony Wheatley.

John D. Mansfield, 26, is accused of possession of a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jamie N. Earnheart, 23, is accused of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuna and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both McGirk residents were transported to the county jail, where bond was set at $26,000 each.

Upon arrival at the home, deputies reportedly noticed an odor of marijuana coming from a vehicle which Earnheart occupied. After asking for consent to search it, they allegedly found marijuana, drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine.

Following the vehicle search, deputies report contacting Mansfield inside the residence, receiving consent to search and discovering additional marijuana and drug paraphernalia as well as a firearm reported stolen in Benton County.

Also, deputies on patrol June 30 in California stopped a vehicle with three occupants on Russell Street for driving without headlights on. After being denied consent to search, deputies used K-9 Mizzou, the sheriff's drug dog, to alert for the presence of drugs in the vehicle, which they then searched, and found methamphetamine.

Selena J. Rogers, 18, of California, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. She was transported to the county jail, where bond was set at $25,000.
