Lorenz set for trial

In Moniteau County Court July 13, Judge Kenneth Hayden ordered the statutory rape case against Clairyssa A. Lorenz to be set for trial.

Following documents filed on July 11, the defendant waived arraignment and appearance before the court on July 13.

Her request to modify bond conditions was sustained over the objection of the state.

The charges were filed on March 1. On that date, she was charged with second-degree statutory rape, a Class D felony, and sexual contact with a student, a Class E felony.
