Remodeling proceeding at new spa business

A new, and different, life is planned for an older home in California by the Kieslings.

The older two-story frame structure at 607 S. High St., just south of the car wash at the Eagle Stop, is slated to become Exhale Spa, managed by Kayle and Nick.

There are 11 rooms and four bathrooms. When the remodeling is completed and the business is in operation, hopefully this fall, in the upstairs rooms will be offered full-body massage and full-body waxing.

On the main level, the services offered will be facials, manicures and pedicures.

Also, on the first floor, there will be a room for those with physical challenges. It will be wheelchair accessible, with all services available for people in wheelchairs.

In addition, there will be spa chairs and children's spa chairs.

The most obvious signs of the work on the exterior is the olive green siding in the process of being applied by Bob Kilmer. But the work isn't stopping there.

Complete electric and plumbing updates have brought the building up-to-date, as has the all-new heating and cooling system by B&D Mechanical. All new drywall is being installed by Wise Drywall.

In addition, there have been 33 windows replaced.

A big effort underway is the restoration of 3,300-square-feet of hardwood floors. This work is being done by the family. The work of Kenny (Gabby) Kiesling is very helpful to the entire effort and continues to be.

At the open house planned for fall, local residents will be able to better visualize the services to be provided.
