Man arrested for Holts Summit burglary

HOLTS SUMMIT, Mo. - A Holts Summit man was arrested Friday following a reported burglary in process, according to Lt. Curtis Hall of the Callaway County Sheriff's Office.

Tyler Ash, 31, was arrested for first degree burglary, second-degree property damage and fourth-degree assault, Hall said.

After 9 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to a reported burglary-in-progress in the 2500 block of LaChar Drive near Holts Summit. Holts Summit Police Department officers also responded, Hall stated.

Deputies identified the suspect as Ash, who had fled the scene on foot prior to law enforcement arrival, Hall said. The investigation also determined Ash had entered the residence unlawfully and damaged property.

At 11:35 a.m., deputies found and arrested Ash at a residence in the 2600 block of LaChar Drive, Hall stated.

As of Friday, Ash was being held without bond pending a bond setting.
