Felony charges filed

James L. Strange, born 1981, California, Class D felony driving while intoxicated-aggravated.

Paul E. Cook, born 1961, no residence given, Class E felony property damage first degree. Two misdemeanor counts also filed - driving while intoxicated; and driving while revoked/suspended. The counts result from an incident in which the defendant is alleged to have driven a pickup into a fuel filling station pump at 5 K Convenience Store just after noon June 8. The impact was enough take the pump completely from its base.

Jonathan D. Lucas, born 1996, Jamestown, and Kaitlynn M. Matchett, born, 1999, Tipton, were each charged with two felony counts - C felony delivery of controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid; and D felony possession of controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid. The counts result from a stop of the two in a pickup, which is reported to have crossed the center line just before 3 p.m. June 8. During a search by consent, marijuana was found as well as a substance which field-tested as methamphetamine.

Francisco Palacios-Perez, born 1990, no residence given, Class C felony delivery of controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid. The charge is a result of an incident in which officers were allegedly called June 9 to a hit-and-run collision between two vehicles on Oliver Street in California. The driver of the vehicle which left the scene was alleged to have observed going into an apartment building. The officers followed, gained consent for a search, and reported locationg methamphetamine, cash and a key to the vehicle in question.

Cody Kost, born 1990, California, Class D felony possession of controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid. The charge resulted from an officer allegedly locating a methamphetamine-type pipe when responding to a disturbance on Latham Road June 12 just before 7 p.m.
