3 arrested in Moniteau County drug bust

Three people were taken into custody following a drug bust this week in Moniteau County.

The bust occurred Wednesday when deputies were joined by members of the Mustang Drug Task Force to serve a search warrant at a residence in Latham, according to Moniteau County Sheriff's Department reports.

Authorities found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia,and items used for packaging and distribution of methamphetamine.

Those taken into custody were:

Jeffrey Pearson, 54, of Latham, who is facing a charge of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

Edward Lepper, 57, who has resided in Jefferson City and Latham, facing a charge of possession of methamphetamine.

June Rapier-Wilson, 49, who has resided in Hartsburg and Latham, facing charges of possession of methamphetamine and endangering the welfare of a child.
