The Spring Concert "At The Hop" was performed at California High School by the Vocal Music Department May 2. The event, directed by Michele Bilyeu, included performances by five different vocal groups, and ended with a performance of a choir combined from all five groups. Show hosts were Jack Johston and Sarah McCord.
The Sounds of Joy were up first with the theme-named song, "At The Hop." The Men's Choir performed "In the Still of the Night," with Liam Glenn as soloist.
The Women's Choir was on stage next, singing the medley, "Girls Rock the Fifties!" The Girl's Choir performed "Rockin' Robin," and later "New Girl in Town." The Mixed Choir performed "Back to the Fifties Medley," with a duet by Emily Gray and Bryson Hoskins.
The Combined Choirs ended the performance with "Born to Hand Jive." Those present were invited to join the vocalists as they enjoyed root beer floats and took selfies at the photo booth.
