A courtesy charging station will soon be added to the Moniteau County Library.
The board approved a 30-day trial of a station with three plug-ins from Kwikboost.
"These charging stations have a shelf on them for tablets to sit on," said Library Director Connie Walker.
After the trial period, board members will decide if they will purchase the unit based on patron usage.
In other action, April 18, two bids were approved from the Missouri Vocational Enterprise for a nine-slot bike rack and three juvenile book shelves.
The rack will cost $209; the metal book shelves will cost $2,835.
In other business, the board:
Agreed to extend library hours to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 28 through Aug. 1.
Learned 128 youth had used the mini golf course in the library during spring break.
Confirmed 20 new library cards were received last month.
