One arrested in Moniteau County traffic stop drug bust

A vehicle stop led to a drug bust Tuesday in Moniteau County.

Deputies were called to assist the Missouri Highway Patrol on a vehicle stop on U.S. 50 just east of California, according to Moniteau County Sheriff's Department reports. The patrol stopped the vehicle on a traffic violation and requested assistance from the Sheriff's Department with a K-9 unit.

K-9 Mizzou was deployed and gave a positive alert for the presence of drugs. A search of the vehicle reportedly found cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The driver of the vehicle, Holynn Jeffery, 23, of Hartsburg, was taken into custody for possession of cocaine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
