Public invited to learn about services

In an effort to better serve Moniteau County and its needs, the Moniteau County Health Department will hold a special meeting at noon Feb. 14.

The meeting will focus on discussing the strengths and needs of the community. Any and all county residents are invited to attend this meeting to let their voice be heard in advancing health services in hopes of offering suggestions on health education, services and any other subjects for concern.

Administrator Andrea Kincaid has a few ideas of her own, one involving the experts.

"We hope to be able to get more speakers this year," to the monthly related-services meetings, Kincaid said. "That way people will know about the stuff that's out there and they can say 'Oh, this can help me.'"

Seeing as the meeting will take place during the lunch hour, all who attend are more than welcome to bring their lunch.

All information gathered at the meeting will set the tone for the remaining monthly related-service meetings for the year.
