Final fundraisers for senior trip

More than half of the Jamestown senior class will head to sunny Tampa, Florida, for their annual class trip. Before they take flight early May, two last fundraising efforts will help the students cover the cost.

"There are several students that the dinner should get them pretty close, but there are a few who have some work to do," advisor John Muri said.

He is referring to the taco dinner 5-7 p.m. Feb. 8 during the homecoming games. Tacos, Spanish rice, desserts and drinks will be served. A free will donation is asked of those who attend.

The senior bake auction will take place Feb. 12, during the senior night basketball game.

"The way we're doing it this year, the students are bringing however many they think they need to make that benchmark, because that's our last kind-of home-hitting thing to get them past that - whatever money they raise with their baked goods, that's what they keep," class president Samantha Nivens said.
