USDA to hold informational meeting

A working group of representatives of various local, state and federal agencies with knowledge of natural resource concerns will meet July 30 at the USDA Service Center at 17066 Missouri 87 in Boonville.

The group will meet at 11 a.m. to identify local priority resource concerns and provide input about program criteria to the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Services to residents in Howard, Cooper and Moniteau counties.

Individuals wishing to participate will hear the group help prioritize selection criteria for NRCS' Environmental Quality Incentives Program and Conservation Stewardship Program applications in the three counties.

The meeting is open to the public and will allow time for comments and concerns from residents who attend. While the final decision will be made by NRCS leadership members, local input is needed.

For those needing accommodation to participate, call Mike Snellen at 660-248-3358 one week before the meeting.
