A June 6 checkpoint in Moniteau County resulted in four felony drug arrests and one felony warrant arrest along with several misdemeanor drug possession summons.
Deputies with the Moniteau County Sheriff's Office worked with the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force and K-9 officer from the Morgan County Sheriff's Office on a four-hour operation where vehicles were stopped for moving violations. Registration and equipment violations also were issued.
K-9 Mizzou was deployed twice and gave two positive alerts, resulting in three of the four felony drug arrests. Morgan County K-9 Kormi was also deployed with numerous alerts and drug summons on the alerts.
Arrested were:
Ronald E. Lee Jr., 24, of Jefferson City. He was charged with delivery of a controlled substance (marijuana) with bond set at $50,000.
Tamara Augustin, 40, of LaMonte. She was out for warrant arrests for driving while revoked in Pettis County with bond set at $1,500, passing bad checks in Pettis County with bond set at $1,000 and passing bad checks in Howell County with bond set at $610.58.
John C. Dowell, 44, of California. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth) with bond set at $25,000.
Christopher E. Buckingham, 42, of Versailles. He was charged with delivery of a controlled substance (marijuana) with bond set at $25,000.
Lambert S. Howell, 36, of Jefferson City. He was charged with delivery of a controlled substance (marijuana) with bond set at $25,000.
