Fundraiser to support Russellville family

RUSSELLVILLE, Mo. - Community members will host a fundraiser in support of Russellville resident Kevin Morrow and family.

In late February, Kevin Morrow had been driving for work, but was found unresponsive at a gas station. He was quickly diagnosed with a brain tumor and went into surgery in Springfield.

A flyer advertising the fundraiser for the family says, "As of now, his complete prognosis is yet to be determined, and he and his family have an unknown road (ahead) of them."

A dinner and dance is being held Saturday, March 16, at 3007 Main St. in Lohman in support of the family.

"I know that they're just a nice family in the community," organizer Jamie Sullivan said. "The Russellville community is really good about getting together and helping their fellow members."

A fried chicken dinner from Steve's Restaurant will be served at 6 p.m. The meal will include mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw and rolls. A variety of desserts and cash bar will also be available.

Over 100 tickets are available for $60 per couple or $35 per person. Donations can be taken to any location of Jefferson Bank of Missouri addressed for the Morrow benefit fund.

Guests may also participate in the silent and live auctions. Some items include: a St. Louis Cardinals' basket with gift certificates, a feed bunk, an evening shuttle bus ride valued at $300, Yeti cooler and more. A $500 cash prize is also available for dance participants.

Donations for prizes can be dropped off at Humpy's Bar & Grill, 13211 Railroad Ave.

Tickets can be purchased at Humpy's, Russellville High School and Special Learning Center.
