Building updates proposed for Versailles ambulance base

Mid-Mo Ambulance District administrator updated the board on needed updates at the ambulance base during the board's May 8 meeting.

Administrator Lee said the base's roof needs to be replaced. He proposed removing the porch off the front of the building and adding another at a different entrance. He also proposed taking out the sliding glass door in the kitchen and fixing the roof off the back deck. He said he hopes to have bids for this work at the June 12 meeting.

In other business, Brenda West, office manager, presented the board with accounts that were written off to the amount of $437.08. Uncollectable accounts were then presented to the board for approval of additional write-offs. A majority of the accounts were deceased patients with no estates. The accounts amounted to $25,365.15 and were approved by Becky Holloway and seconded by Brenda Lapp.

Run stats for the month of April were: Tipton, 41 calls with 29 transports; California, 86 calls with 61 transports; and Versailles, 182 calls with 135 transports. The district's total calls were 309 with 225 transports for a transport rate on patient contact calls of 78.9 percent.
