Next Tuesday, Nov. 2, is the date of the Mid-Term General Election. When voting, remember to fill in the arrow for the appropriate candidate or issue. If the arrow is not filled in, the vote will not count.
There are four local contested races.
Running for Circuit Clerk and Recorder of Deeds are Angel Geiser, Democrat, and Michele A. Higgins, Republican. Running for Prosecuting Attorney are John T. Kay, Democrat, and Shayne W. Healea, Republican. Running for Collector of Revenue are Cheryl K. Duvall, Democrat, and Matthew C. Schreck, Republican. Running for Treasurer are J. David Haldiman, Democrat, and Sarah B. Jones, Republican.
Collector of Revenue and Treasurer are both open seats. Geiser currently holds the office of Circuit Clerk and Recorder of Deeds and Kay currently holds the office of Prosecuting Attorney.
Candidates for State Representative 117th District are Caleb Jones, Republican, and Jacob Luetkemeyer, Constitution Party.
Candidates for State Auditor are Susan Montee, Democrat; Tom Schweich, Republican; and Charles W. Baum, Libertarian.
Candidates for United States Representative in Congressional 4th District are Ike Skelton, Democrat; Vicky Hartzler, Republican; Jason Michael Braun, Libertarian; and Greg Cowen, Constitution Party.
Candidates for United States Senator are Robin Carnahan, Democrat; Roy Blunt, Republican; Jonathan Dine, Libertarian; and Jerry Beck, Constitution Party.
Mike Kehoe, Republican, is running uncontested for 6th District State Senator. Kenny Hayden, Republican, is running uncontested for Circuit Judge, Circuit 26, Division 2. Peggy Richardson, Republican, is running uncontested for Associate Circuit Judge. Kenny Kunze, Republican, is running uncontested for Presiding County Commissioner. Anita Groepper, Republican, is running uncontested for County Clerk.
