New county maps available from 911 next month

The new county maps will be available for purchase from the 911 Center by the public by Nov. 1, according to Administrator Sarah Jones.

The Board of Directors of the 911 Emergency Dispatch Center approved the printing of 1,000 new county maps to be printed by B-W Graphics at the September meeting. The cost will be $2 per map.

Administrator Sarah Jones reported the 911 Center handled 850 total incidents in September, up from the 805 reported for August.

According to the treasurer's report, Sales Tax received was $44,611.39 (a total increase of 9.3 percent for 2010), the MMDA account balance as of Oct. 13, was $222,688.08. The total payroll on Sept. 15 was $8,023.05; on Sept. 28, the payroll was $9,772.66; and on Oct. 11, $8,057.01. Overall payroll taxes were $8,456.12. Total accounts payable approved at the meeting amounted to $19,780.52.

The Board approved additional ESRI training for the new mapping program. It will be an in-house session for three people, not to exceed $5,000 in cost.

The next regular meeting is 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at the 911 Center.
