Russellville Indians win opener against Crocker

The Russellville Indians hosted Crocker for their baseball season opener March 24, where they won a close contest, 7-6.

"It was a nice win to open the season," Russellville Coach Lucas Branson said. "We battled from behind and showed we will be able to be tough, compete and play hard every inning.

Crocker led 3-0 after four innings, however, Russellville outscored Crocker 3-1 in the fifth inning and 3-0 in the sixth to lead 6-4 going into the seventh inning. Crocker added two runs in the seventh, while the Indians added one to come away with the win, 7-6.

Clayton Meyer recorded the win for Russellville.
