Several of the front pews of Grace United Methodist Church, Jamestown, were adorned with palms for the Palm Sunday Service held April 17. The service included a Call to Worship, several hymns, Passing of the Peace, Responsive Reading, a Unison Prayer, a children's time, Old and New Testament scripture readings, a sermon titled "Who do You Say That He Is?" by the Rev. Janet Deneke and concluded with The Lord's Prayer, Presentation of Tithes and Offerings, Doxology and Benediction.

"Palm Sunday is an occasion for us," Rev. Deneke said, "where we remember those last days of Jesus. Remembering He did go to Jerusalem with everyone thinking He was going to take over as some sort of victorious king, which in fact He did. I think the events of Palm Sunday and the week that follows call us to remember Jesus is never going to be the kind of king we expect with our earthly ideas, but He will indeed be a victorious king and will lead us into God's glorious kingdom which will be utterly different with what is going on here on earth."
