Resurfacing Begins on U.S. 50 in Pettis, Morgan and Moniteau Counties

APAC-Missouri, Inc.,Columbia, is scheduled to begin resurfacing nearly 24 miles of U.S. 50 from east of Sedalia to Tipton Monday, April 25, weather permitting. The eastbound and westbound lanes and shoulders will be resurfaced. The entire project is scheduled to be complete in the fall of 2011.

One lane will be open to traffic through the work area. The contractor will have various types of traffic control in place to secure the safety of the motoring public as well as their employees. MoDOT encourages motorists to buckle up, slow down, follow work zone signing and drive safely through the area.

APAC-Missouri, Inc. was awarded the contract on Nov. 3, 2010 after submitting the low bid of $6,064,456.45.
