Rich and Pam Green opened their home (formerly known as the Eitzen Mansion) to host an open house and home tours as part of the Christmas California Style celebration held Friday, Dec. 2, through Sunday, Dec. 4.

Friday night the home was host to an open house which had over 60 guests who could tour the three-story home expertly decorated for the occasion. A platter of meats, cheeses and fruits was served along with plenty of other snacks throughout the home, as were plenty of refreshing hot and cold drinks. Saturday and Sunday the home was open for home tours. The open house cost was $15, the home tours cost were $10 which went to support Moniteau County Historical Society.

Pam Green said every year they try to have a fundraiser at the home for a not-for-profit organization in California. Previously they have raised funds for the Finke Theatre and the Wood Place Public Library.

"We had decided our gala next year would benefit the Moniteau County Historical Society. The Historical Society is in the process of raising monies to add on to their existing building and expand the genealogy library. Because the society needs to raise the funds as soon as possible, we decided to have a Christmas Home Tour for their benefit - in lieu of a gala in 2012."
