The annual Christmas dinner and meeting of California Progress, Inc. (CPI) was Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Annunciation Catholic Church.

A short meeting of the board of directors preceded the social hour and dinner and a general business meeting followed the dinner. CPI President Brian Scrivner reviewed the history and variety of CPI projects and briefly discussed projects that may be considered when the restored Finke Theatre facility is fully turned over to the Friends of the Finke Theatre in two or three years.

For the next year, Larry Kent will be president and David Jungmeyer vice president. New board members approved by CPI members at the meeting are Becky Lawson and Mike Staton.

After 12 years on the board, including a term as president, Jeff Shackleford decided to step down. Scrivner presented him with a certificate of appreciation for his service.
