Lady Pintos Capture Third Place Finish at California Tourney

California's varsity girls basketball team participated in the 17th Annual California Basketball Tournament last week, Jan. 12-15, where the Lady Pintos ultimately captured a third place finish after defeating Eldon 66-50 Saturday.

Annette Fisher, who is serving as a volunteer worker at this week's AAU national basketball tournament, says she knew her son was wearing down last month. Derek Fisher helped lead the Utah Jazz to the NBA's Western Conference final, but has since asked to be released from the team to help care for his daughter.
