Since Marty Albertson was the superintendent of Moniteau County R-1 Schools for the last four years, he is certainly no stranger to California Schools, and will fit right in as the new head football coach at the high school.

Albertson brings many years of experience, as a coach and athlete. He played football, baseball, basketball, track and golf at Milan High School.

"I enjoyed all sports, but football and baseball were my favorites," Albertson said.

At Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, he concentrated on baseball and football, and lettered all four years in both sports. He also earned All-Conference honors his last two years at Northwest, in baseball as a shortstop, and in football as a free safety and punter.

Albertson graduated from Northwest with a bachelors degree in physical education, and a masters degree in education (administration).
